New asynchronous import of payment files into MULTIVERSA IFP

May 18, 2009 - CoCoNet has enhanced the usability of its market leading e-banking portal MULTIVERSA IFP International Finance Portal by means of an improved file-based import for payment transaction data.

As a commonly used option for importing data into the system users can manually import payment transaction data deriving from ERP systems such as SAP or data from Treasury Management Systems into the e-banking portal. Especially the import of large payment files in total can still last for some time for the import process as well as for performing data checks and storing the data in the database. During this time the user today is blocked to work on other tasks in the system.

The new asynchronous process separates the technical import from the background work for performing data checks and storing the data in the database. After a short data transfer period the user is free to proceed with other work in the system while the further processing of payments and orders subsequently takes place asynchronously in the background.

The user can review the status of the current and prior executed imports in an overview list with several details.

MULTIVERSA IFP offers filter and sorting options as found in the entire application for the new asynchronous import, e.g. according to status, start time, initiator, file name, or file size. A detail view presents insights regarding the processing time and the result.

In the context of other far-reaching improvements of the usability the extension of the asynchronous import also helps the MULTIVERSA IFP user to save time and gain better control of the import process.
