Retrospect: CoCoNet at the 20th Finance Symposium from April 16-18, 2008 in Mannheim

April 21, 2008 - On the annual Finance Symposium from April 16–18, 2008 CoCoNet presented the latest extended cash management functions of its flagship product MULTIVERSA IFP International Finance Portal.

This congress has become the key event for the treasury and finance community in German-speaking countries and again addresses innovations in corporate treasury & cash management.

At the first day different workshops with live demos illustrated the new features of MULTIVERSA IFP International Finance Portal by showing practical application scenarios.

As one of the market leaders for web-based e-banking solutions, CoCoNet this year focused on cash management topics such as liquidity planning, cash pooling and e-invoicing as the latest and future enhancements of the MULTIVERSA IFP.

Here is a short summary of the key workshop topics:

MULTIVERSA IFP International Finance Portal is the ideal web-based solution for organisations streamlining their domestic and multinational payment flows. The portal supports various domestic and international e-banking standards – including various formats, security mechanisms and transfer procedures. MULTIVERSA IFP thus allows for sizeable yields in the field of electronic payment and cash management.

MULTIVERSA IFP now includes an extended cash management function for liquidity planning via multibanking-enabled account information, various liquidity overviews and filters, as well as cash pooling. The new cash pooling feature of MULTIVERSA IFP allows treasurers to perform zero- and target-balancing, including the short-term liquidity planning. Furthermore, MULTIVERSA IFP includes an interest calculation based on an internal interest scale and processes directly net payment transactions between the different cash pool accounts.

E-Invoicing, also known as EIPP (Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment), offers an enormous potential for cost savings for companies thanks to a completely electronic invoice-processing. MULTIVERSA IFP is an excellent system environment for corporate e-invoicing applications – for invoice issuers as well as invoice recipients. Moreover, data integration in MULTIVERSA IFP bears great benefits for an improved liquidity planning.

MULTIVERSA IFP offers universal opportunities in terms of payments and bank access: by means of the integrated MULTIVERSA GPF Generic Payment Factory, MULTIVERSA IFP can process payment orders from its customers in basically any format: international formats such as SWIFT FIN via SWIFT MA-CUG, the new SEPA formats and EDIFACT, domestic formats, formats from ERP and treasury management systems as well as bank- and customer-specific formats.

CoCoNet says thank you for your attention and your interest during the workshops and the face-to-face conversations at the symposium.
